We are super honored that the Technical University of Munich (TUM) has chosen to collaborate with Wenn to run its 2022 master student summer challenge for the Applied Machine Intelligence Course, which is offered as part of the M.Sc. program of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. TUM ranks among the top-10 technical universities world-wide, which not only secures a high level of talented students but also enable its graduates to immediately find attractive jobs in industry and beyond – many of which are joining tech startups around the world.
This year, more than 150 master students have signed up to the summer challenge and work on a world class machine intelligence project together with Wenn. The course leader, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Klaus Diepold at the Dept. Electrical and Computer Engineering, says that: “This year we have more than double the number of students participating in the summer challenge, compared to last year, with more than 10 student teams using their best endeavors to come up with good and innovative solutions on complex issues. Hopefully, the results as well as the direct access to trained graduates will be valuable for Wenn’s further development of leading AI-based solutions for the car mobility industry.”
Wenn’s CTO, Gian Kolbjørnsen, comments: “We are excited and honored to have what is probably Europe’s leading technical university addressing real challenges related to machine learning, and with the start of our operations at the Munich airport shortly, being close to TUM, hopefully, this will mark the start of a closer collaboration between Wenn and TUM”.
